Why wait until Taco Tuesday to enjoy this zesty Halibut recipe? This recipe packs so much flavor in every bite!
Ingredients
4 SenaSea Halibut portions, thawed
10-12 tortillas, warmed
1 1/2 - 2 cups fresh salsa, divided
1 cup white sauce, see below for recipe
1 cup green or red cabbage, thinnly sliced
1 avocado, sliced
Cilantro leaves and lime wedges, for garnish
Halibut Marinade
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup lime juice, about 2 limes
Zest of 2 limes
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
White Sauce
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup fresh salsa
Pinch of salt
Directions
Marinate halibut
Combine all the marinade ingredients together, mix thoroughly
Marinate halibut for 30-60 minutes
While fish is marinating, make white sauce
Grill
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Remove halibut from marinade and pat dry. Place fish on an oiled grill and grill without moving for about 3 minutes. Turn halibut with a metal spatula and cook for about 3 more minutes or until firm and opaque throughout. Remove fish from grill.
Flake some halibut into each tortilla, then top with cabbage, white sauce, avocado and salsa. Garnish with cilantro and serve with a lime wedge. Makes 10-12 tacos/serves 4.
