Garlic Seared Salmon

Garlic Seared Salmon

Posted by Sena Wheeler on

This simple recipe showcases the rich, bold flavors of Copper River Sockeye. Great salmon doesn't need a heavy sauce or complicated cooking techniques, just a few simple ingredients. This quick and easy recipes is one of our family favorites.

Ingredients

4 Sena Sea Salmon portions (6oz)
2 Tablespoons olive oil or butter
2 Cloves of garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons salt
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Combine salt and brown sugar in small bowl, stir well and set aside.

Rinse Salmon under cold water; pat dry with paper towel.

Coat Salmon with salt and sugar mixture. Let sit for 20-30 min.

Rinse salt and sugar off fish completely under cold water.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Heat olive oil or butter in pan over med/high heat.

Add garlic and brown for about 1 minute.

Place fish in pan, flesh side down and sear for about 3-5 minutes.

Flip and continue to cook for another 3-5 minutes.

Salmon is done when it flakes easy and just turns from translucent to opaque in the center (do not overcook).

Enjoy!
